Launch of the NASA balloon borne Stratospheric Terahertz Observatory (STO2) is shifted to next year

Unfortunately,  the weather this year  in Antarctica did not  facilitate the launch of the NASA balloon borne Stratospheric Terahertz Observatory (STO2). The anti-cyclone pattern around Antarctica has degraded to the point that, if launched, STO2 would only have a ~7 day mission and will  not be recoverable. NASA Headquarters decided to let STO2 to be stored in the Payload building in the McMurdo station in Antarctica over the winter, and allocates a launch slot in the season between 2016-2017.
