On Tuesday June 7th , Professor Dr. Dan Scheeres from the University of Colorado will visit TU Delft and give a talk about the Mechanics of Asteroid Exploration. The talk will be held from 16.00-17.00 hrs in Lecture room C at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the TU Delft.
Professor Dr. Scheeres will introduce the technical challenges the asteroid environment poses, review progress which has occurred over the last two decades, and identify interesting new research areas. He will also give a preview of upcoming asteroid exploration missions and their scientific and technical significance.
