On the 21st and 22nd of April, Delft University of Technology will host the CESUN Europe event 2016, a special European flavored event, focused on the theme Comprehensive Engineering. CESUN, the Council of Engineering Systems Universities, provides a platform for member universities worldwide to work together on developing Engineering Systems as an emerging field of study. When it comes to the development and integration of new technologies, focus on the value dimension, the governance dimension and the systems integration dimension of engineering is needed. The emerging discipline of “Comprehensive Engineering” does exactly this: it combines insights from the engineering sciences with insights from the humanities and the social sciences.
The CESUN Europe event 2016 will allow you to explore these opportunities and challenges and will provide you with broad perspectives on the latest progress in research under the theme Comprehensive Engineering.
The CESUN Europe event will be chaired by Professor Paulien Herder of the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management with TU Delft Space Institute director Professor Eberhard Gill acting as Co-Chair. The intended participant group consists of representatives of universities from Europe. If you are interested in joining this event, please contact organizer Laura de Tombe (L.A.deTombe@tudelft.nl) of the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management or Marielle Hoefakker (M.E.Hoefakker@tudelft.nl) of the TU Delft Space Institute.
